Gaining My First Client

I don’t think finding a client will be too big of a challenge. I think the biggest challenge for my business will be trying to find a way to keep them after I spark their interest! I learned that businesses will not succeed if they are go-go-go… it is all a process and staying focused on the goal no matter how long it takes to achieve it is the most important. Customer satisfaction is my ultimate goal because customers are what make the business.

Initially, I intend to share the news about my new retail stores opening with my family and friends. I have a great support system, so after this announcement, I know they’ll share my huge accomplishment with their friends and even more family! With social media being a fantastic platform to get information out there and get noticed, I’d utilize Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Tik Tok (since this app has been gaining much popularity over the past few years).

I think the key is to not be stagnant and wait for business to come to me. I need to be proactive and go find business and potential clients. I have such an outgoing personality so I believe it’ll be easy to form relationships over both the internet and in person.

Research is a key component to securing a customer as well. H&M and Forever 21 are stores that have been around for a while and haven’t missed a beat. It is always slam-packed at all hours. I want this for my store! I would talk with them, get valuable advice, watch their trends, identify their products & services, and price points. One thing my store will do differently is, specialize in the beautiful outliers of the world. I plan on creating that same energy that forever 21 and H&M have for my store; while specializing in the big, tall, curvy, and unique bodies.

One thing that is definitely in my control is attitude. I’ll land my first few customers by staying positive. If I fail… that’s okay. I will just be optimistic about this whole process. Thinking; there are millions of people in this world and all it takes is one customer to give my business a chance! The odds are pretty good when put in that perspective.
